At Lernarkys Edutainment Private Limited (“we,” “us,” or “our”), we are committed to protecting the privacy of our users, especially students. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the ikakey mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide a personalized learning experience:

  • Account Data: When you register, we collect your Name, Mobile Number, and Email Address.
  • Optional Data: You may choose to provide your School Name, Grade/Standard, or other profile details to enhance your experience.
  • Payment Data: All payments are processed through Razorpay, a secure third-party gateway. We do not store your credit/debit card numbers or CVV on our servers.
  • Technical Data: We use Google Firebase for app functionality (like Push Notifications). While we do not directly collect device IDs, Google Services may collect anonymized technical data (OS version, app crashes) for performance analysis.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your information strictly for:

  • Providing and maintaining your user account.
  • Tracking and displaying your learning progress.
  • Sending important updates or lesson notifications via Firebase.
  • Ensuring secure transactions via Razorpay.

Note: We do not sell, trade, or distribute your personal data to any third-party marketing agencies.

3. Children’s Privacy (COPPA & DPDP Compliance)

As ikakey is an educational app for school students:

  • DPDP Act (India): We process children’s data only for educational purposes and do not engage in behavioral tracking or targeted advertising directed at children.
  • COPPA (US): We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without encouraging parental involvement in the setup process.
  • Verification: By using the app, parents/guardians are encouraged to oversee the registration of minors.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures (SSL encryption and secure server protocols) to protect your data. Payment processing is handled by PCI-DSS compliant partners (Razorpay).

Data Deletion Policy

We believe you should have full control over your data. In compliance with Google Play Store policies and the Indian DPDP Act, we provide a clear path for account and data erasure.

How to Request Deletion

If you wish to delete your account and all associated data (including progress and profile information), you can:

  1. Email Us: Send a request from your registered email address to contact@lernkys.com.
  2. Processing Time: Once received, our team will verify your identity and permanently delete your data from our primary databases within 7 to 10 business days.
  3. What is Deleted: This process removes your Name, Email, Mobile Number, and all recorded learning progress.
  4. Retention: Please note that certain transaction records may be retained for a limited period only as required by Indian financial and tax laws (via Razorpay/GST compliance).
